  • CLE Shortstop #0
The 25-year-old second baseman smacked an RBI single in the fourth inning that gave the Guardians a 2-1 lead they’d never relinquish, He then swiped second base and wound up stranded there. He also added some valuable insurance with a two-run double in the eighth inning that made it a 6-1 ballgame. With his three-hit attack, Giménez is now hitting .258/.306/.340 with five homers, 48 RBI and 20 stolen bases on the season.
  • CLE Third Baseman #11
Ramírez drew a leadoff walk off of Jameson Taillon in the fourth inning and raced around to score on an RBI double off the bat of Josh Naylor. He then plated a run of his own with a groundout in the fifth inning. The 31-year-old superstar also walked, swiped second base and scored on a two-run double by Andrés Giménez in the eighth. He’s having a monster season across the board offensively, slashing .281/.334/.543 to go along with 31 homers, 98 RBI and 27 stolen bases.
  • CLE Starting Pitcher #35
Cobb punched out three batters on the evening while issuing a pair of walks. The lone tally against him came on a sacrifice fly off the bat of Cody Bellinger in the fourth inning. The 36-year-old hurler needed just 80 pitches (50 strikes) to record his 17 outs. He generated four swings and misses on the night, posting an underwhelming CSW of 24 percent. He’ll see if he can further improve upon his 4.35 ERA and 1.45 WHIP when he takes on the Yankees in New York on Wednesday.
  • CLE Relief Pitcher #48
That’s now four saves in four days for Clase, which is pretty much unheard of in modern baseball with the way pitching workloads are limited. The right-hander now has 37 saves on the season to go along with a 0.64 ERA. He’s impressive.
  • CLE First Baseman #43
Big Christmas crushes left-handed pitching, and he did it again on Tuesday, blasting a 430-foot shot at 111.3 mph off of left-hander Drew Smyly. It was Noel’s ninth home run on the season, and he has been effective for the Guardians in a short-side platoon role. His power is enticing, but he likely won’t make enough contact against right-handed pitching to challenge for a full-time role in 2024.
  • CLE Starting Pitcher #16
Boyd sat 92.2 mph on his four-seam fastball which is up from when we saw him last. He also continued to spin a solid slider and mix in a changeup against righties. Overall, he had a 29 percent whiff rate and 39 percent CSW in what was a really strong outing. We’ve seen Boyd be a serviceable fantasy starter in the past, and he landed in a pretty good environment to be one again. He can be added in all 15-team leagues and deeper now, but he has a tough start on the road against the Yankees next week.
  • CLE Relief Pitcher #34
Strzelecki has been shipped back to the minors to make room for veteran lefty Matthew Boyd to make his season debut on Tuesday night against the Cubs. The 29-year-old righty has pitched well in 10 relief outings for Cleveland since being acquired from Arizona back at the end of spring training.
  • CLE Starting Pitcher #16
The biggest takeaway from Boyd’s recent minor league rehab assignment where he compiled a microscopic 0.83 ERA, 0.65 WHIP and 27/2 K/BB ratio across 21 2/3 innings (five starts) is that he’s still missing bats at near-elite rates with a 35.1 percent strikeout rate during that span. The 33-year-old veteran southpaw will make his Cleveland debut on Tuesday evening against the Cubs in his return from last year’s Tommy John surgery. His stuff appears to be back to pre-surgery levels and he’s always missed enough bats to make an impact for fantasy managers, especially in deeper mixed leagues. He’s at least worthy of a speculative dice roll based on his lengthy track record at the highest level.
  • CLE First Baseman #43
Noel took Cubs starter Shota Imanaga deep for a go-ahead three-run blast in the fourth inning before walloping a sixth-inning solo shot off reliever Nate Pearson to record his first career multi-homer performance. The 23-year-old rookie slugger’s over-the-fence pop is unquestioned, as he’s already gone deep eight times in just 31 games at the big league level. However, his plate skills have been lackluster so far as he’s striking out nearly 30 percent of the time at the moment. He’s going to make an impact for fantasy managers in the power department, but the rest of his game is going to have to improve if he’s going to make the leap to an upper-echelon fantasy contributor down the road.
  • CLE Center Fielder #38
Kwan took Cubs starter Shota Imanaga deep in the fifth inning for his 13th round-tripper of the season and wound up reaching base safely in three of his four plate appearances out of Cleveland’s leadoff spot. The over-the-fence power growth has been the biggest surprise this season for fantasy managers as he’s added some additional pop without selling out to get to it. The 26-year-old on-base machine, who is batting .326 (121-for-371) with 69 runs scored, 13 homers, 36 RBI and nine steals through 93 games, looks like a surefire top 20 fantasy outfielder heading into next season.
